Apple A19 Chips Performance Revealed in Early Geekbench Scores

With the recent launch of the iPhone 17 series and iPhone Air, Geekbench scores have surfaced, shedding light on the performance of the new Apple A19 and A19 Pro chips in synthetic benchmarks.

Apple A19 and A19 Pro chips

The iPhone 17, equipped with the Apple A19 chip, achieved a single-core CPU score of 3,608 and a multi-core score of 8,810. Compared to the previous iPhone 16's A18 chip, the iPhone 17 showed a 10% increase in single-core score and an 11% improvement in multi-core performance. Additionally, the listing confirmed that the iPhone 17 comes with 8GB LPDDR5x RAM.

On the GPU side, the standard iPhone 17 delivered a Metal score of 37,014, marking a 33% improvement from its predecessor, the iPhone 16.

The iPhone Air, powered by a binned version of the A19 Pro chip, yielded a single-core score of 3,674 and a multi-core score of 8,824. With 12GB LPDDR5x RAM, the iPhone Air achieved a Metal score of 37,743 in the GPU test.

iPhone Air (18,4) Geekbench CPU and GPU scores

The iPhone 17 Pro, with a single-core score of 3,523 and a multi-core score of 9,028, also features 12GB LPDDR5x RAM. Its GPU performance stood out with a Metal score of 44,342, showcasing a 17% increase compared to the iPhone Air's GPU score and a 32% improvement over the iPhone 16 Pro.

Finally, the iPhone 17 Pro Max achieved a single-core score of 3,781, a multi-core score of 9,679, and an impressive Metal GPU score of 45,657, showcasing a near 40% jump from the iPhone 16 Pro Max.
