As the highly anticipated launch of the iPhone 17 series approaches, a recent leak has provided insight into the battery capacities of the upcoming phones. It appears that Apple is opting for slightly larger batteries across all models of the iPhone 17 lineup.

Renowned Apple insider ShrimpApplePro has disclosed the battery capacities of the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max ahead of the official unveiling.

The iPhone 17 is expected to house a 3,692mAh battery, while the iPhone 17 Air could feature a 3,036mAh cell. Moving up the range, the iPhone 17 Pro is rumored to come with a 3,988mAh unit, and the premium iPhone 17 Pro Max may boast a 4,832mAh battery.

Moreover, the e-SIM only variants of the iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max are reported to offer larger batteries - 3,149 mAh, 4,252 mAh, and 5,088 mAh, respectively. This suggests that Apple might be taking advantage of the additional space enabled by eliminating the SIM card tray.

Apple enthusiasts can look forward to the official debut of the iPhone 17 series, alongside new Apple Watch models and potentially the AirPods Pro 3, at an event scheduled for 10 AM PT on September 9.
