Samsung shifts to Exynos for Galaxy S25 while Snapdragon takes over the Galaxy S24 lineup

Source: Date:
Samsung has announced a surprising move in its flagship lineup strategy. The company has decided to introduce Exynos versions of the Galaxy S25 series, replacing the Snapdragon variants that were previously used. This decision comes as a surprise, considering Samsung's recent focus on improving its in-house Exynos processors, such as the upcoming Exynos 2600 for the Galaxy S26 phones. The Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus smartphones, which were discontinued this year, were originally offered in Exynos and Snapdragon variants in different regions. However, some regions that previously had Exynos variants of the S24 will now receive the Snapdragon versions instead.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra previously featured an Exynos chip, but with the shift to Snapdragon for the Galaxy S24 lineup, users may now reconsider their options. The Galaxy S26 Ultra redesign may not be appealing to everyone, making the S24 Ultra with a Snapdragon processor a potentially budget-friendly choice. Additionally, the Galaxy S24 devices were the first to promise seven years of support, ensuring longevity for users who opt for the Snapdragon version.
