Samsung Galaxy S26 Series Leaks Reveal Surprising Design Changes

Source: Date:
Leaked images of dummy units for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 series have shown unexpected design changes, resembling the rumored design of the Apple iPhone 17 Pro. The dummies showcase three different models, with the largest one being the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The other two models are speculated to be named the Galaxy S26 Pro and Galaxy S26 Edge.
Images of Galaxy S26 dummies suggest that the Galaxy S26 Edge will feature a horizontal camera bar, a departure from the previous vertical alignment. This design change is similar to Google's Pixel phones and potential future iPhone models. The camera setup, including the LED flash unit, remains vertical, with the additional internal components housed in the expanded camera island. This modification allows for a larger battery capacity of 4,200mAh and a thinner profile of 5.5mm.
Additionally, the leaked dummies indicate that all Galaxy S26 models may sport similarly curved corners, reinforcing rumors of rounder edges on the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The new models also feature camera islands, with the Galaxy S26 Ultra rumored to accommodate improved main and telephoto cameras with a larger bump.
The Galaxy S26 series is expected to be thinner than its predecessors, although full confirmation awaits a closer look at the front of the devices. Samsung seems to be maintaining continuity with the Galaxy S25 Plus successor's design while introducing subtle changes to appeal to different consumer preferences.
