Recent reports about Apple increasing prices for the iPhone 17 lineup may not be as drastic as initially thought. A new research note by JPMorgan suggests that only one model will be getting a price hike.
The iPhone 17 Pro is expected to be $100 more expensive than its predecessor, but it will also come with 256GB of base storage, double the amount of the iPhone 16 Pro. When considering the increase in storage, the price hike actually brings it in line with the previous model's 256GB variant.
The standard iPhone 17 is rumored to start at $799, while the iPhone 17 Air may either maintain the same price as the iPhone 16 Plus ($899) or see a $50 increase to $949. The iPhone 17 Pro Max will not see any price increase and will still begin at $1,199 with 256GB storage.
These price changes are specific to the US market, and it remains to be seen if other regions will experience similar adjustments. Apple's official unveiling event for the iPhone 17 is scheduled for September 9, just one week away.
