The tablet market in India saw contrasting results in the first half of 2025, with overall shipments declining but some segments experiencing growth. Despite the overall decline, the consumer tablet market grew by 20.5% YoY, driven by factors such as exclusive product launches, cashback incentives, and increasing demand for larger screen sizes and stylus-supported models. In contrast, the commercial segment witnessed a significant 61.7% YoY decline, primarily due to disruptions in education tenders and cost optimization in businesses.

Samsung maintained its position as the market leader with 41.3% market share, although its shipments were down 38.1% YoY. Lenovo and Xiaomi also saw growth in market share, while Apple and Acer experienced declines in shipments.
