Spotify has recently launched a messaging feature within its app, allowing users to easily share songs, podcasts, and audiobooks with friends and family. This new feature, called Messages, aims to provide a dedicated space for users to exchange recommendations and spark conversations about their favorite content.
Messages is now available for both free and Premium subscribers aged 16 and older in select markets, initially on mobile devices only. Users can share Spotify content and engage in one-on-one conversations with people they have interacted with before on the platform. Additionally, a message request system is in place for initiating conversations with new contacts.
To access the Messages feature, users can navigate to their profile photo in the app and view suggested contacts based on their previous interactions on Spotify. While the messaging service offers encryption for data protection, Spotify also utilizes detection technology to monitor conversations for unlawful or harmful content.
