Samsung Unveils New Photo Editing Feature on Older Galaxy Phones

Source: Date:

Samsung has announced the expansion of its Content Credentials feature to older Galaxy phones, including the Galaxy S25 series. This feature, integrated into the native Gallery app, provides users with detailed information about the editing history of their photos.

Supported by the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA) and tech giants like Adobe, Microsoft, OpenAI, and Google, Samsung aims to establish Content Credentials as a global standard for tracking digital edits. Users can now easily access information such as the device used for editing, the date and time of edits, and the AI tools applied.

Additionally, Google Photos is rumored to be working on a similar feature, allowing users to see how photos and videos were created or edited through an "How was this made" section.
