Google recently teased the upcoming release of a new smart home speaker during its latest product presentation. This speaker, powered by Gemini, will offer a range of features and capabilities. Available in bright red, light green, black, and white variations, the speaker will have a bottom light that activates when interacting with Gemini, the AI assistant.
Users can expect natural-sounding voices for the AI assistant, media and music playback options, automation settings, and even the ability to detect and alert users to unusual sounds like glass breaking or a smoke alarm. Additionally, the speaker can be paired with a Google TV Streamer for expanded audio capabilities throughout the home and will support the Matter IoT protocol.
