Lava has stepped into the gaming segment with the launch of the Lava Play Ultra, featuring the impressive Dimensity 7300 SoC, a high-quality 120Hz screen, and a long-lasting 5,000 mAh battery. With up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage, expandable by up to 1TB via a microSD card, this smartphone is geared towards gamers looking for performance and reliability.
The Lava Play Ultra runs on "clean Android 15" without any ads, bloatware, or unwanted apps, promising two years of OS upgrades and three years of security updates. While it may not have the flashy features of other gaming smartphones, it does include a dedicated Game Booster for an enhanced gaming experience.
Featuring a 6.67" FullHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display with 1,000 nits peak brightness, the Lava Play Ultra offers a visually immersive experience. The front camera is housed in a centered punch hole, and biometric authentication is supported by the fingerprint scanner under the display.
On the back, the smartphone showcases a camera island design with a 64MP primary camera (Sony IMX682) and a 5MP macro camera. The 5,000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support ensures uninterrupted gaming sessions, and additional features like a 3.5mm headphone jack, dual stereo speakers, and an IP64 rating enhance the overall user experience.
The Lava Play Ultra is available in Arctic Slate and Arctic Frost colors, offering two memory variants - 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB, priced at INR14,999 ($170/€150) and INR16,499 ($190/€160) respectively.
