Huawei has recently introduced two new additions to its MatePad series, the MatePad Air 12 and MatePad 11.5 S. Both tablets come with high-resolution 144Hz displays, slim and lightweight designs, and are powered by HarmonyOS 5.
Introducing the MatePad Air 12
The MatePad Air 12 features a stunning 12-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2800 × 1840px and a 144Hz refresh rate. It also offers an optional nano-etched PaperMatte technology for reduced reflections and improved visibility. With 1,000 nits peak brightness and 100% DCI-P3 color space coverage, the viewing experience is top-notch.
Designed for creativity, the MatePad Air 12 supports Huawei's M-Pencil Pro stylus and is equipped with six speakers for immersive audio. Despite its powerful features, the tablet remains ultra-thin at 5.9mm and lightweight at 555 grams.
While details on the chipset remain undisclosed, the MatePad Air 12 boasts 12GB of RAM, 256/512GB storage options, a 50MP main camera, and an 8MP front camera. It is powered by a 10,100 mAh battery with 66W fast charging and supports Wi-Fi 7 connectivity.
The MatePad Air 12 comes in a range of colors and is competitively priced at CNY 2,999 ($417) for the 12/256GB variant and CNY 3,399 ($473) for the 12/512GB model. Sales are set to commence in China on August 21.
Meet the MatePad 11.5 S
For a more affordable option, Huawei introduces the MatePad 11.5 S with an 11.5-inch IPS LCD display offering the same high resolution and refresh rate. This tablet also supports the M-Pencil Pro and features quad speakers for enhanced audio.
With variations in RAM and storage, the MatePad 11.5 S includes a 13MP rear camera, an 8MP front camera, an 8,800 mAh battery with 40W charging capabilities, and a selection of stylish colors. Priced at CNY 2,499 ($348) for the 8/128GB model and CNY 3,199 ($445) for the 12/512GB version, this tablet offers great value for users. Sales will begin on August 21 in China.
