Rumors from China suggest that Xiaomi's upcoming flagship devices, the Xiaomi 16 and 16 Pro, will feature a significant improvement in their selfie camera capabilities. The new selfie camera is said to boast 50 MP resolution, support for 4K60 video recording, a wide field-of-view, and autofocus - a feature not commonly found in front-facing cameras.
This enhancement is expected to greatly enhance the selfie photography experience on Xiaomi's upcoming flagships, particularly in low-light conditions. The Xiaomi 16 will feature a 50 MP main rear camera with a 1/1.3" sensor, while the 16 Pro will offer the same specifications along with support for "ultra high dynamic range" and a ToF sensor.
Previous leaks have suggested that the Xiaomi 16 will come equipped with a 7,000 mAh battery, a 6.3-inch flat OLED display, a 50 MP ultrawide camera, and a 50 MP telephoto camera, possibly utilizing periscope technology.
Stay tuned for more updates on the Xiaomi 16 and 16 Pro as we await their official launch.
