Apple has announced an expansion of its American Manufacturing Program, pledging an additional $100 billion to its commitment to bring its supply chain and advanced manufacturing back to the United States. The tech giant is also set to hire 20,000 employees in various departments across the country.

With a total commitment of $600 billion over the next four years, Apple is partnering with companies like Corning, Samsung, Texas Instruments, and others to produce components for its products in the US. Corning, for example, will establish a state-of-the-art glass production line in Kentucky.

Apple's new efforts in American manufacturing are not only about boosting the economy but also about strategic moves to mitigate potential tariffs. The tech giant aims to establish an end-to-end silicon supply chain in the US, from R&D to fabrication and packaging.

The company plans to increase chip production in the US significantly by 2025, with partnerships with TSMC, Samsung, and others. Additionally, Apple is investing in server manufacturing in Houston, a data center in North Carolina, and other essential components made in the US.

These initiatives signal Apple's commitment to boosting domestic production and innovation, further solidifying its presence in the American manufacturing landscape.
