Reports indicate that the sales numbers for the Galaxy S25 series have surpassed those of the S24 series, showing a significant increase in demand. The latest data reveals that while the new Galaxy S25 Edge faced some challenges initially, overall sales for the entire S25 lineup have exceeded expectations. Ice Universe has provided a comprehensive breakdown of the sales figures from the launch of the 2025 models up to the end of June.
During this period, a total of 20.22 million units of the Galaxy S25 series were sold, in contrast to 18.02 million units for the S24 series in the previous year. This represents a notable growth of 12.2% in sales volume.
It is worth noting that the Galaxy S25 Edge, which was introduced towards the end of May, contributed 650,000 units to the total sales figure. Considering only the core S25 models, excluding the Edge variant, the series recorded a total of 19.56 million units sold, marking an 8.5% increase compared to the S24 lineup. Below are the individual performance details for each model:
The standard Galaxy S25 exhibited the highest growth rate among the models, showing an 11.6% increase in sales compared to its predecessor. There are speculations that Samsung may introduce a more advanced S26 Pro model next year, which could further boost sales for this segment.
The Samsung Galaxy S25+ saw a steady 7.5% growth in sales, although it remains the least popular model within the Galaxy S range, selling significantly fewer units than the base model. Samsung's decision to discontinue the Plus variant in the upcoming lineup may be influenced by this trend, especially with the anticipated improvements in the S26 Edge model.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, known as the flagship offering, experienced a commendable 7.1% increase in sales, maintaining its position as a top-selling model. However, there has been a shift in dynamics, as the S25 Ultra no longer outsells the combined sales of the S25 and S25+ models.
Looking ahead, Samsung has announced plans for a major overhaul in the 2026 Galaxy S series. The success of future sales will depend on factors such as the pricing strategy for the S26 Pro model and the sustained performance of the S25 Edge in the market.
