Samsung has introduced an innovative feature called Voice Captioning in the latest One UI 8 interface. This feature takes Live Captions to a whole new level by incorporating AI technology. Voice Captioning, part of the Galaxy AI suite of tools in One UI 8, transcribes speech into text in real time and allows for real-time translation into multiple languages.

GalaxyTechie discovered this feature and shared it on "X." Currently available in China on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 models, users outside of China can install Voice Captioning via an APK on Galaxy phones running One UI 8 or One UI 7. The feature includes speech-to-text translation in various languages and a summary of the spoken content.

Users can choose the languages supported by Voice Captioning when installing the APK. This feature, perfect for conference calls, sources audio from the phone, microphone, or both simultaneously. While some users have reported issues with compatibility, Samsung is expected to officially roll out Voice Captioning soon.
