Rumors have been circulating that iQOO's next flagship smartphone will be named iQOO 15 instead of iQOO 14, and it has now been officially confirmed by the brand. The teaser campaign for the upcoming device has begun on Weibo, hinting at a possible late September unveiling.
The early start to the teaser campaign is attributed to the speculation that the iQOO 15 will be one of the first smartphones to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 SoC. This chipset is set to be officially announced on September 23, prompting the rush for various smartphone brands to launch their devices before October 1.
While specific details about the iQOO 15's features are yet to be revealed, rumors suggest it will sport a 6.85-inch QHD+ flat LTPO OLED screen, a 50 MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, and support for 100W wired charging. Wireless charging may also be included in the package.
The iQOO 15 competition scheduled for August 1 in Shanghai will give lucky winners the opportunity to get their hands on the new device before its official release.
