Samsung Electronics has released its financial report for the second quarter of the year, showcasing its strong performance across mobile, display, and semiconductor businesses. The company also provided insights into its upcoming product launches and innovations for the second half of 2025.

In the Mobile eXperience (MX) and Networks divisions, Samsung reported consolidated revenue of KRW 29.2 trillion and an operating profit of KRW 3.1 trillion. Despite a slight decrease in smartphone shipments compared to the previous quarter, the MX division achieved higher revenue and operating profit year-on-year. The success was attributed to strong sales of the Galaxy S25 series, the Galaxy A series, and Galaxy tablets.

Looking ahead to the second half of the year, Samsung plans to prioritize its flagship devices such as the S25 series and new foldables. Additionally, the company will focus on enhancing the AI capabilities of its A-series smartphones, tablets, and wearables. Excitingly, Samsung will introduce new form factors including XR devices and the much-anticipated "TriFold devices" in the latter half of 2025.

Furthermore, Samsung LSI is striving to enhance its Exynos chipsets for adoption in major customer's 2026 flagship mobile lineup. The Foundry Business is ramping up production of mobile chipsets on the advanced 2nm GAA node, including the upcoming Exynos 2600.

Device Solutions (DS) emerged as Samsung Electronics' second-largest division, contributing significantly to the company's overall revenue and operating profit. The memory business saw growth in sales of HBM3E and high-density DDR5, while Samsung Display reported increased revenue from new smartphone displays and QD-OLED monitor panels.

With a focus on innovation and expansion, Samsung aims to strengthen its Galaxy ecosystem and deliver cutting-edge technologies in the months to come.
