The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 recently underwent a series of durability tests conducted by the renowned tech reviewer, JerryRigEverything. Despite the challenges foldable phones typically face in such tests, the Z Fold7 surpassed expectations with flying colors.
In the examination, it was revealed that the Z Fold7, Samsung's thinnest and lightest Fold model to date, demonstrated exceptional build quality and resilience. The Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 protected cover screen exhibited scratch resistance up to level 6 on the Mohs scale, while the internal screen, made from Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG), showed vulnerability to scratches at level 2.
The phone's aluminum sides and Armor FlexHinge proved to be durable, and the IP48 rating effectively protected the device against dust and small rock fragments. Despite a concerning amount of flex observed during the bend test, the Z Fold7 remained fully functional.
