Recent reports indicate that Qualcomm's upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 SoC will outperform MediaTek's Dimensity 9500 in CPU clock speed. The Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 is rumored to reach 4.6 GHz in its regular model and an impressive 4.74 GHz in the higher-bin "for Galaxy" iteration, which will be featured in select Samsung devices, including the Galaxy S26 series.
In addition to its high CPU clock speeds, the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 is expected to offer a GPU clocked at up to 1.2 GHz and deliver impressive performance, with rumors suggesting an AnTuTu score exceeding 4 million. Powered by custom Oryon cores and manufactured on TSMC's advanced N3p 3nm process, the SoC will feature two Prime cores and six Performance cores, with the GPU branded as Adreno 840.
