Rumors surrounding Samsung's upcoming flagship device, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, suggest that it will come equipped with a larger battery and faster charging capabilities. The tipster on X has revealed that the S26 Ultra is expected to feature a 5,500 mAh battery, a 10% increase from its predecessor, the S25 Ultra. Additionally, for the first time, a Samsung smartphone will support 65W charging, surpassing the previous 45W threshold.
Despite the increase in battery capacity, the S26 Ultra is rumored to be thinner than the S25 Ultra at 8.2mm. It will also support the recently unveiled Qi2 25W wireless charging standard, setting a new record for Samsung smartphones. The implications of these upgrades on charging time and overall user experience are yet to be fully understood, but they are certainly promising developments for Samsung enthusiasts.
