New details have emerged about the upcoming Google Pixel Watch 4 ahead of its official launch on August 20. The latest leaks suggest that the watch will boast a brighter display and potentially a new chipset for improved efficiency.

Reports indicate that the Pixel Watch 4 will be available in 41mm and 45mm sizes with displays that can reach up to 3,000 nits of brightness. This enhancement would make the display 50% brighter than its predecessor and on par with other leading smartwatches in the market.

While initial reports suggested that the Pixel Watch 4 would utilize the same Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chipset as its predecessors, there are now indications that it may actually feature the Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 with an M55 co-processor. This potential upgrade could result in improved performance and battery efficiency.

In addition to a brighter display and possible chipset upgrade, the Pixel Watch 4 is rumored to come with larger batteries for extended usage. The 41mm model is expected to offer up to 30 hours of battery life with the always-on display feature enabled.

Other anticipated features include side-charging functionality, allowing users to use the watch as an alarm clock while it charges sideways on a dock. The watch may also be slightly thicker than its predecessors to accommodate the larger battery.

Pricing details suggest that the Google Pixel Watch 4 will be competitively priced, with various color options and band selections available to consumers.
