Why the iPhone Fold Could Dominate the Foldable Phone Market

Source: Date:
Apple is rumored to be releasing its first foldable iPhone next year, with reports suggesting that it will have a larger battery than many of its competitors. Despite the delay in embracing foldable technology, Apple seems to be addressing key issues such as display crease and battery capacity for its upcoming device. Rumors point to a Samsung-made OLED panel and a battery capacity of 5,000mAh to 5,500mAh, which is quite impressive for a foldable phone.
While there were speculations about using silicon-carbon batteries for the foldable iPhone, recent leaks indicate that Apple may stick to mainstream lithium-ion batteries. The device is expected to offer improved battery life through enhancements in display components and power consumption.
The foldable iPhone is rumored to be priced over 15,000 yuan (~$2,089.73) and is likely to feature a 7.8-inch internal screen, a 5.5-inch external display, a titanium chassis, and a liquid metal hinge. Additionally, it may come with a dual-camera setup, Touch ID, and special software features.
