Recent reports are suggesting that the upcoming iPhone 17 might be equipped with the new Apple A19 chip, contrary to earlier rumors of it featuring the Apple A18 chip. Analyst Jeff Pu from GF Securities is now speculating that the iPhone 17, along with the iPhone 17 Air, will be powered by the Apple A19 chip.

While there were expectations of an increase in RAM for the baseline iPhone 17 model, Pu's latest report suggests that it will stick to 8GB LPDDR5 RAM. The higher-end models in the series, including the 17 Air, will offer 12GB RAM with similar LPDDR5 speeds. The 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max are rumored to come with faster LPDDR5X RAM.

Furthermore, rumors indicate that the iPhone 17 series will introduce Apple's self-designed Wi-Fi 7 chip. The base model is expected to feature a larger 6.3-inch OLED display, possibly with a 120Hz refresh rate. However, it may not include the LTPO technology present in the Pro models. The speculated launch date for the iPhone 17 series is September 8.
