The iPhone 17 series could potentially undergo a redesign for the Dynamic Island and its user interface elements. This would mark the first major alteration to the front of the iPhone since the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max in 2022.
Posting on Weibo, the reputable leaker Digital Chat Station leaked multiple details about the iPhone 17 series. Among the revelations was a mention of the Dynamic Island, which may showcase a brand-new UI.

Apple's New Island

A rumor circulated that the modifications would only be present in the iPhone 17 Pro Max. Nevertheless, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo debunked this rumor in January, asserting that the size of the Dynamic Island would remain largely unchanged across Apple's 2025 lineup.
The leaker was adamant about a smaller Dynamic Island for the iPhone 17 Pro Max. It was suggested that Apple might incorporate metalens technology for the Face ID system to reduce the size of the display's opening.
