Qualcomm has unveiled two new binned versions of its highly anticipated flagship chipset - the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. These new versions, namely SM8650-Q-AB and SM8650-Q-AA, feature a six-core CPU configuration with two fewer working CPU cores compared to the original chip.
The SM8650-Q-AB offers an underclocked CPU cluster with a Cortex-X4 core clocking at 3.3GHz, while the SM8650-Q-AA features a 3.0GHz Cortex-X4 core. Both versions also include 4x Cortex-A720 cores and 1x Cortex-A520 efficiency core, along with Adreno 750 GPU, all built on a 4nm process.
A recent Geekbench listing for the upcoming Lenovo tablet (TB710FU) provides insights into the CPU layout of the underclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (SM8650-Q-AB), confirming its six-core configuration.
These new binned versions complement the existing Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 lineup, offering a range of performance options for upcoming flagship Android devices.
