Samsung's Upcoming Galaxy Z Flip Model May Feature Innovative Battery Level Display

Samsung has recently filed for a patent on a new display interface for an upcoming Galaxy Z Flip model. The patent, submitted to the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), showcases a unique "battery level graphical user interface" on a foldable clamshell flip-style phone.
The design of the interface, featuring a slight curve on the top frame of the flip phone, draws inspiration from Samsung's past curved display phones like the Galaxy Note Edge from 2014.
The patent illustration reveals a novel way of displaying the phone's battery level, with a color-coded line running up the curved display to indicate the remaining battery percentage. This innovative approach aims to provide users with a quick and intuitive way to check their device's battery status.
The patent also showcases other features of the device, such as a USB-C port, dual speaker grilles, dual cameras, and an edge-to-edge cover display, indicating that it closely resembles a Galaxy Z Flip model.
While the inclusion of this curved display interface on the Galaxy Z Flip is not confirmed, if Samsung decides to incorporate this feature, it is likely to be introduced in future models, possibly not until 2026.
