T-Mobile customers can now rejoice as the long-awaited self-service SIM swap feature is finally live on the T-Life app. This new update allows customers to change SIM cards associated with their numbers without the need to visit a T-Mobile location or contact customer care.
The feature was disabled in 2022 due to the rise of SIM swap attacks, but T-Mobile has implemented new security measures, including the employee identification verification system CLEAR1, to prevent such incidents in the future.
While some customers have reported encountering minor issues, especially with eSIMs, T-Mobile is working to iron out any bugs to ensure a smooth experience for all users.
