Google Fi has finally added support for visual voicemail directly in the Phone app for iPhone users. This long-requested feature change is currently being rolled out and is expected to be available to all users by July 2.
Previously, iPhone users on Google Fi had to use the separate Fi app to access voicemails, leading to confusion with double alerts. With this update, voicemails will now only appear in the Phone app, allowing users to play, share, and delete messages seamlessly.
To streamline the voicemail experience, Google Fi is phasing out voicemail support in the Fi app for iOS. Users are advised to download any important voicemails before August 13, as after that date, voicemails will no longer be accessible in the Fi app.
This update brings Google Fi closer to other carriers by providing a standard visual voicemail feature for iPhone users, reducing the need to switch between apps for voicemail management.
