As Apple gears up to release a new iPhone Pro model in 2027 with an under-display camera, it appears that major Android manufacturers are also looking to adopt this technology around the same time. This trend may signify a shift in the smartphone industry towards more seamless displays free of distractions.
The upcoming iPhone 18 is rumored to feature a punch hole camera, housing the Face ID under the display, marking a departure from Apple's traditional design. On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 from Samsung is reportedly not incorporating an under-display camera, indicating divergence among top Android brands.
According to leaks, the top five Android manufacturers researching under-display cameras include Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Honor, and Huawei. These brands are likely to follow suit in implementing this technology to stay competitive in the market.
