Total Wireless, a Verizon company, has introduced its inaugural social impact initiative, Total Spark, aimed at assisting working students. A comprehensive survey of over 1,000 adult students in the United States conducted by Total Wireless revealed key insights into the challenges faced by working students:
- 32% of working students have jobs to support their families.
- 73% of working students desire additional support for their career pursuits, with career mentorship being identified as the most valuable.
- Only 1 in 10 working students feel they have enough free time, citing time management as a significant obstacle.
- 90% of working students view mobile phones as essential for staying connected, particularly for job-related tasks.
To celebrate the launch of Total Spark, Total Wireless will host a "Career Spark" Fair in Chicago on June 27, offering resources for student well-being and career advancement. The event will feature stations focusing on work-life balance, career opportunities, community resources, and more. Interested attendees can reserve a spot by signing up.
