Samsung Introduces Premium Subscription Model for Samsung Health

Source: Date:

Samsung has recently announced that it is considering implementing a premium subscription model for Samsung Health, offering advanced features for users who are willing to pay a monthly fee. This follows the introduction of new features in the One UI 8 Watch update, including Bedtime Guidance, Vascular Load, Running Coach, and Antioxidant Index.

In an interview with CNET, Dr. Hon Pak, Senior Vice President and Head of Digital Health at Samsung, revealed that the company is exploring a subscription-based model similar to Garmin Connect Plus or Fitbit Premium. While basic features will remain free, users may need to pay to access more advanced functionality.

These new advanced features could be included for free with premium Galaxy Watches, while older models may require a subscription to unlock them. Currently, the new features are available in a beta program for select watches in the US and South Korea.

Users interested in accessing features such as Vascular Load and Antioxidant Index may need to upgrade to newer models like the Galaxy Watch Ultra or Galaxy Watch7 to enjoy the full benefits of Samsung Health.
