A recent update for Google Messages has addressed a bug that was causing certain Android phones to crash. The bug specifically affected the latest beta version of the app, impacting users of Pixel handsets and Samsung phones. Users with the problematic beta version, identified as version 20250610_00_RC02.phone.openbeta_dynamic, experienced issues with the forward button in the app causing immediate crashes. Additionally, attempting to share content via the Android system Share sheet also resulted in the app crashing.

As a temporary workaround, users were advised to manually copy and paste links for sharing and save images locally to share within the app. However, following the latest update, users can now utilize the forward button seamlessly for sharing links and images.
