T-Mobile discontinues Go5G plans and introduces new policy with tax-excluded options

T-Mobile's Experience More and Experience Beyond plans were rolled out in April to replace the Go5G plans. Despite T-Mobile's claims of offering more value, the new plans do not include taxes and fees, unlike the Go5G plans. Employees were discouraged from activating Go5G plans for customers, leading to their removal from the company's retail system. As of June 13, Go5G plans have been officially grandfathered, meaning existing customers can keep their plans but new sign-ups are not allowed.
T-Mobile is also phasing out mobile internet lines for watches and tablets with included taxes and fees, starting on June 18. Moving forward, only tax-excluded versions of these plans will be offered, allowing for a mix of taxed and untaxed plans. This shift may lead to billing confusion for some customers but reflects T-Mobile's transformation into a premium brand.
Despite the removal from retail systems, Go5G plans may still be activated by reaching out to customer care. The transition to tax-excluded watch and tablet plans marks another step in T-Mobile's new policy direction. The company seems to be moving away from its previous slogan of "What You See Should Be What You Pay" towards a different branding strategy.
