A recent leak has confirmed that the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 will deliver a significant performance boost compared to its predecessors.
According to the leak, the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 is expected to achieve a single core performance score of over 4,000 and a multi-core performance score of over 11,000. This marks a substantial improvement from the previous generation of Qualcomm's flagship chipsets.
Additionally, the Adreno 840 GPU in the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 will boast a clock speed of 1.35 GHz, a notable increase from the Adreno 830's 1.1 GHz clock speed.
Previous reports suggest that the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 will feature a 2+6 architecture with the highest CPU running at up to 4.8GHz. The chipset will be manufactured using TSMC's third-generation 3nm process, indicating enhanced efficiency and performance.
While the Xiaomi 16 is rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, other flagship devices like the Oppo Find X9 and Vivo X300 are expected to adopt MediaTek's Dimensity 9500 processor for superior performance.
