Samsung, a top smartphone vendor, is facing challenges in the foldable segment with the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7. Reports suggest that production goals have been revised down multiple times in recent weeks, indicating a bleak outlook for the new devices.
Challenges for the Galaxy Z Fold 7
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 boasts impressive features such as larger screens, a 200MP camera, and a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. However, initial production targets have been reduced from 800,000 to 630,000 units, signaling potential difficulties in sales.
On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 also faces challenges with production targets decreasing from 590,000 to 550,000 units. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is expected to see even lower production numbers, further adding to Samsung's woes.
Uncertain Sales Outlook
While it is unclear how consumers will respond to the new foldable devices, Samsung's track record with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 suggests a potential struggle in achieving significant sales milestones. The company's foldable popularity issues seem to be worsening with each new generation.
