These features, including Hold Assist, Live Translation, and Call Screening, were all borrowed from existing capabilities on Android devices, proving the age-old myth about Apple's approach to feature innovation.
Apple Emulates Android with New iOS Features
One of the highlighted features, Hold Assist, closely resembles Google's Hold for Me on the Pixel 6 line, allowing users to stay on top of calls while on hold. Additionally, Live Translation, similar to Samsung's Live Translate, enables real-time language translations during calls, and Call Screening helps filter incoming calls based on caller information.
The Hold Assist feature on the iPhone keeps track of calls on hold and notifies users when they are back on the line.
