Apple's latest keynote at the Worldwide Developers Conference showcased the tech giant's advancements in AI, with the introduction of new Intelligence features. Despite this progress, the much-anticipated smarter version of Siri, promised a year ago, continues to remain elusive.

One notable addition is Live Translation, now integrated into Messages, FaceTime, and the Phone app. This feature, long available on other platforms, operates entirely on-device. In FaceTime, users can benefit from live translated captions alongside the speaker's voice, while in phone calls, a voice translation is utilized.

Genmoji allows users to mix emojis with descriptions to create unique combinations, with the ability to customize features like hairstyle based on real-life individuals. Moreover, ChatGPT integration is now expanded to Image Playground, Writing Tools, Siri, and Visual Intelligence.

Visual Intelligence enables interactive actions based on on-screen content, empowering users to inquire about images using ChatGPT, search on Google or supported apps like Etsy, and even prompt calendar additions for identified events. By simply taking a screenshot, users can engage with Visual Intelligence features.

Shortcuts have also received a boost with intelligent actions, such as the ability to analyze audio transcriptions against notes for students. Additionally, Reminders now automatically categorize relevant content, Apple Wallet can summarize order tracking details, and Messages can suggest polls when appropriate.

Noteworthy on the Apple Watch is the Workout Buddy feature, utilizing Apple Intelligence to offer personalized insights during workouts. Powered by a text-to-speech model with Fitness+ trainer data, Workout Buddy aims to enhance exercise sessions with tailored feedback.

While advancements are evident across Apple's platforms, the long-awaited improvements to Siri are yet to materialize, leaving users eager for the promised enhancements to the popular virtual assistant.
