Apple’s WWDC25 reveals new project codenames indicating a shift towards glass aesthetics

Source: Date:
Apple's WWDC 2025 is set to unveil a major visual overhaul with the introduction of two project codenames: Liquid Glass and Glasswing. The new design philosophy, highlighted by names like Liquid Glass for UI changes and Glasswing for a future iPhone model, suggests that Apple is moving towards a glass-centric aesthetic over the previous flat design approach.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reported that Liquid Glass will bring transparency and depth to Apple’s operating systems, starting with iOS 26. The aim is to create a more cohesive and visually appealing experience across various platforms. On the other hand, Glasswing refers to the upcoming iPhone model for 2027, featuring curved glass edges and a seamless design approach.
