Google has rolled out its Search Live feature for both Android and iOS users, allowing them to have real-time conversations with AI to find exactly what they are looking for. The feature was previewed during Google I/O and is now being tested by the tech giant.
Users can now ask Search Live to perform tasks such as looking for user manuals, finding YouTube tutorials, or searching through emails, all through a conversation with Google. The AI-powered platform aims to help users get things done more efficiently.
To check if you have access to the Search Live feature, look for a waveform icon with a small sparkle underneath the Google Search bar in the Google app. Alternatively, users can start a conversation by using the circular button in AI Mode conversations.
The UI for Search Live features a dark or light screen with buttons for "Unmute" and "Transcript." Users can have a voice conversation with AI Mode in real-time and turn off the microphone by tapping the mute button.
Despite being experimental, Google warns that the feature may make mistakes. Users can exit the Google app and continue the conversation in the background if needed.
