Since 2019, spending across the App Store has more than doubled, with physical goods and services seeing a 2.6x increase in demand. Apps for food delivery, pickup, groceries, games, and photo/video editing have been driving this growth. Additionally, in-app advertising continues to be a key revenue source for developers.
Apple's efforts to combat fraudulent transactions and ensure transparency in the App Store have also been highlighted, with over $2 billion in fraudulent transactions blocked in 2024. The U.S. App Store alone facilitated $406 billion in sales, further showcasing the platform's economic significance.
