In a recent teaser video shared by vivo exec Boxiao Han, the upcoming vivo X Fold5 was showcased alongside the X Fold3, highlighting a noticeable difference in weight between the two foldable devices. While the X Fold3 weighs 219g, the new X Fold5 is expected to be even lighter, although the exact weight has not been confirmed.
Leaked specifications suggest that the X Fold5 will feature a slimmer profile compared to its predecessor, measuring 4.3mm when opened and 9.33mm when closed. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and offering up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB storage, the X Fold5 will also boast a triple 50MP camera setup on the back and dual 32MP selfie cameras.
The teaser video provides a glimpse of the X Fold5's design, showcasing its thinner form factor and hinting at impressive display specifications, including an 8.03” 120Hz main screen and a 6.53” 120Hz LTPO OLED cover display. Additionally, the device is rumored to feature a 6,000mAh battery with 90W wired and 30W wireless charging capabilities.
While the official confirmation is still pending, the vivo X Fold5 is expected to be unveiled alongside the X200 FE on July 10, generating excitement among foldable smartphone enthusiasts.
