The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 foldable phones are generating a lot of excitement as leaks continue to emerge. The latest leak reveals details about the wireless charging capabilities of the Galaxy Z Fold 7. A Samsung device with model number SM-D637U has been spotted in the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) database, suggesting that the phone will support the Qi2 rating for wireless charging. This certification would make the Galaxy Z Fold 7 the first foldable device from Samsung to feature Qi2 Ready certification. The phone is also rumored to support the Magnetic Power Profile (MPP), requiring cases with built-in magnets. Despite reports of Samsung working on the Qi 2.2 standard for faster charging speeds, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to stick with the same 4,400mAh battery and 25W wired charging speed as its predecessor. The phone is set to be unveiled in early July alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 7, with rumors pointing to the Snapdragon 8 Elite powering the Fold and a dual-chip strategy for the Flip.
