Google Photos has introduced a new feature that will save users hours of scrolling through their photo library. According to a Google support post, the feature is gradually rolling out to users, making it easier and faster to find specific photos with greater accuracy. This update comes after recent announcements made by Google, as covered by PhoneArena.
This feature will be especially beneficial for individuals who store screenshots, scanned documents, receipts, or any images with text on Google Photos. In the past, the app could only pick up on general keywords, leading to search results that included unrelated photos. With the use of quotation marks in the search bar, results are now more precise and focused.
