T-Mobile has partnered with 5G solutions provider Inseego to launch the Wavemaker FX4100 router exclusively for business users. This 5G fixed wireless access (FWA) indoor router is capable of running on 5G Standalone (SA) technology, which allows for network slicing to cater to dedicated use cases. T-Mobile is the first carrier in the US to offer a nationwide 5G SA network, setting it apart from other carriers that rely on 5G Non-Standalone (NSA) architecture.
The Wavemaker FX4100 router comes with a companion Wi-Fi mesh node to extend coverage for small businesses, making it easier to connect additional mesh nodes and improve network performance across a large area. The device features a display screen that shows signal strength, 5G availability, and can perform speed tests, allowing business owners to troubleshoot issues efficiently.
This is Inseego's first 5G Advanced device and will be exclusive to T-Mobile until the end of the year. With T-Mobile's focus on 5G SA technology and the introduction of the Wavemaker FX4100 router, many enterprise customers may consider switching to the carrier for its speed, reliability, and future-ready solutions.
