The smartphone market continues to be dominated by Apple and Samsung, with the latest Counterpoint Research report revealing that nine out of the top ten best-selling phones in Q1 2025 belonged to these two brands. Xiaomi was the only other brand to make it into the rankings.
Leading the pack was the iPhone 16 Pro Max, regaining its position as the best-selling device for the first quarter of the year. This marks a significant achievement for the Pro Max model, showcasing its popularity among consumers. The iPhone 16 Pro followed closely behind, securing the third spot on the list.
In fourth place was the iPhone 15, showing that Apple's previous models are still in demand. Samsung's Galaxy A16 5G claimed the fifth position, while the Galaxy A06 and the premium Galaxy S25 Ultra took the sixth and seventh spots, respectively.
Xiaomi's Redmi 14C made it to the eighth spot, with the Galaxy A55 and the iPhone 16 Plus rounding out the top ten list of best-selling phones in the first quarter of 2025.
