Samsung has surprised users by launching the One UI 8.0 Beta Program earlier than expected in South Korea. This move comes as a pleasant surprise after the chaos surrounding the release of One UI 7.
The new software update, based on Android 16, is now available for Galaxy S25 phones in South Korea, with other countries set to follow soon. The firmware version, S9x8NKSU3ZYER, comes with a size of around 3.3GB for the Galaxy S25 Ultra model, along with the May 2025 security patch.
The One UI 8 update promises improvements and refinements across the board, offering users a more seamless experience with their Samsung devices. To participate in the Beta Program, Galaxy S25 owners (and other models from the Galaxy S25 series) can download the Samsung Members app, log in with their Samsung Account, and access the One UI 8.0 Beta Program banner on the home page.
