New Moto G86 Receives Certifications Ahead of Launch

Source: Date:

The highly anticipated Moto G86 has recently received certifications in Europe and China, hinting at an imminent launch. With leaked renders and a full spec sheet already making rounds online, it's clear that Motorola is gearing up for the official unveiling of its latest smartphone.

Last year, the Moto G85 was released globally under the same name, while it was rebranded as the Motorola S50 Neo in China. Speculations suggest that a similar strategy may be employed this year, with the G86 potentially being named the S60 Neo in the Chinese market.

According to the recent certifications, the G86 will feature a large 6,720 mAh battery in China and a slightly smaller 5,200 mAh battery in other regions. The device is rumored to sport a 6.67-inch pOLED display with "1.5K" resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass 7i protection.

Under the hood, the Moto G86 is expected to be powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 7300 chipset, coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The rear camera setup may consist of a 50 MP main shooter and an 8 MP ultrawide lens, while the device is likely to run on Android 15 out of the box.

Earlier pricing leaks suggest that the variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage could be priced around €330 in the European market.
