New benchmark results have been unveiled for the Exynos 2500 chipset that is rumored to be powering the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip7 smartphone. The prototype device, with model number SM-F766U, has been spotted on Geekbench, showcasing its performance capabilities.
Compared to its competitors, such as the Snapdragon 8 Elite, the Exynos 2500 falls short in terms of performance. The benchmark scores indicate a single-core score of 2,012 and a multi-core score of 7,563, placing it more in line with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
The CPU configuration of the Exynos 2500 includes a ten-core setup, with varying clock speeds for different cores. This suggests a potential trade-off in performance for better heat management, especially considering the unique form factor of the foldable device.
Despite the lower clock speeds, the Galaxy Z Flip7 is expected to launch with Android 16 and One UI 8, along with 12GB of RAM. The official unveiling is anticipated to take place in early July, alongside the Galaxy Z Fold7.
