Google is introducing a new feature that will allow video apps on Android Auto to seamlessly switch to audio mode when the vehicle is in motion. This enhancement will enable users to continue listening to podcasts or sports content while driving, ensuring entertainment without distractions on the road.
Android Auto will automatically transition from video to audio-only mode based on the vehicle's "Drive" or "Park" status. This feature is currently being tested on cars equipped with Android 14 and up with Android Automotive, and app developers will need to implement it in their apps.
