Microsoft to Bring Apple-Style Handoff Feature to Windows 11
Microsoft is set to launch a new feature for Windows 11 that will allow for seamless connectivity between devices, similar to Apple's popular "Handoff" feature.
During a recent Build 2025 session, Microsoft previewed the "Cross Device Resume" feature, which will enable developers to create seamless cross-device experiences for Windows apps. The feature will allow users to continue tasks from one device to another, making it easier to switch between devices without losing progress.
In a demo showcasing the feature, Spotify was highlighted as an app that can take advantage of Cross-Device Resume. Users will be able to play a song on their Android phone and seamlessly continue listening on their Windows machine, with the Spotify app appearing in the Taskbar with a phone icon for easy access.
